Personality Test for Specialty

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Here is a personality test to see which area of nursing you may fit in with the best. It is 130 questions but it goes pretty quickly. They will ask you the same question multiple times which is normal.

Post your results!

My top three were rheumatology, general internal med, and hematology.

Specializes in Medical-Oncology.

Very cool quiz. My top four:

1. dermatology

2. general internatl medicine

3. emergency medicine

4. allergy & immunology

Hmmm, ER does sound thrilling....

Specializes in Pediatrics, Telephone Triage, ED, Trauma.

That was weird...

I am a Peds ED RN and Pediatrics and ED were lowest on my list...

You'll laugh but I have connections :lol2: ....my son will attend the Challenger Space Camp here this summer. One of the astronauts is a math teacher at my college ;) Real nice "down to EARTH" guy! A couple of weeks ago we went to our local museum and they had a Space Conference, several astronauts gave speeches and demonstrations...one was older when he was excepted into the program and never thought it would ever happen...well, after applying 4 times he was finally accepted. He said that anything can happen in America.....that's what makes this country so great! I walked away with lots of hope that I will be accepted into nursing school, too. Age shouldn't stop us from doing what we really want to do in life!!!!! If we keep working out and stay healthy we can do anything, too.!!!!!

Too COOL:cool: Sometimes it isnt what you know, but who you know.

Interesting. I like action and hate details. Makes sense. And I would love to work in an ER.

My top three were Emergency, Pathology, and Dermatology. I'm not surprised by the emergency but dermatology? I can't see that in a million years. I'm not shocked that oncology is on the bottom. Obstetrics was 7 and that was good.

Very interesting. Thanks for the link.

1 physical med and rehabilitation

2 pathology

3 allergy and immunology

4 dermatology

Well, since I still have no idea where I want to specialize, this gives me some ideas...but, Pathology? Anyone know what a nurse's role is in pathology?

It's a test intended to predict medical specialties (for physicians), but there are a few places where an RN could work under a pathology department. Examples would include a nurse in a blood donor center (often RN's work in a supervisory capacity there) and a nurse who works in medicolegal death investigation.

Specializes in ICU, ED, Transport, Home Care, Mgmnt.

Radiology ????

Dermatology

Emergency-Yes!

I love taking care of newborns. :) :) :)
