A&P Online at CCC or NVCC?

by mina11

Hi everyone,

I'm wondering whether I should take anatomy and physiology through Northern Virginia Community College or through CCCOnline. They're going to cost about the same amount (since I live in DC and NVCC is charging out-of-state tuition to me), but I don't know which community college would actually be better. I've heard positive things about CCCOnline, so if anyone has any opinions about their experience with the way either school does A&P I and II online, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

I took AP1 and am finishing AP2, both via ccconline. I love the classes! Very interesting, but a HUGE amount of work. There have been a lot of complaints this session about how hard the exams are. I thought AP1 was hard, but AP2 has been made intentionally harder this session. The teachers are saying the local nursing schools wanted us pushed harder. I have to admit, I haven't been able to pull of an A on any exam. But thanks to my labs, and how heavily weighted they are, I still have an A. But these lab reports can be over 15 pages and the biggest took over 10-15 hours. Each unit has a journal entry (2 pages, 3 questions and a case study - I love those!), a lab, lab quiz, quiz, and discussion. Since I am taking it during the summer session, a couple units are intense.

If I can answer any more questions specifically, feel free to send me a PM.

Good luck!
