A&P II with Micro...has anyone done it??

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

The only 2 pre-reqs I need to complete is A&P II and Micro but of course people do not recommend that you take them together. I want to know has anyone taken them together and received a passing grade (A or B). If I take one now and one later, I run the risk of having to start my nursing courses in Spring 2015 instead of Fall 2014 so it is very tempting to take them both together.

Hi!! I am currently at augusta tech and I am going to be taking A&PII and Micro. I am def nervous but I was wondering the same thing if it would be doable. I would like to get into the nursing program for fall 2014. So far A&PI is pretty doable so I am hoping it will be the same in the spring.

I'll be taking them together next semester...totally doable but gotta stay focused.

What teacher do you have for A&P 1? I took that class over the summer at Augusta Tech and I didn't think I would pass. It was extremely hard because we had to memorize so many things in such a short period of time. Not to mention the guy that I had was extremely new. He had never taught college before, only high school and was not familiar with our text book at the time so he just taught things off the top of his head. That would have been nice if he were making the tests but since he was new, he used ----- tests every week so he couldn't even tell us how or what to study. A lot of people dropped the class, but I'm not a quitter so I stuck it out. I barely passed, I'm sure it would have been much easier if I had taken it in the Fall. Do you plan on finishing your studies at Augusta Tech? I changed my mind since they are not Nationally Accredited.

Omg we had the same teacher..Yes he never has a study guide everything comes from ------ notes so i just faithfully read her notes and do practice tests and i have been doing pretty well. How did you do in the class if you dont mind me asking? I plan on finishing at Augusta Tech with my ASN then GRU for my BSN & MSN then probably try and leave the state and go somewhere else. I went to informational session and she stated that by the time we would be graduating they should be Accredited.

I am taking AP1 and Micro together right now and it's not bad at all. If you put your time into it you'll do great. I currently have an A in both

I didn't do so great, it was only like 5 of us that passed. I got a C+ in lecture and a B in lab (B average). I was extremely upset because I know I could have gotten better grades had he known what he was talking about. I am supposed to go to the Nursing info session on the 4th, but I think I'm going to transfer to Aiken instead. Augusta Tech never passed the accreditation so I'm not too sure they'll pass this time. I volunteer at GRU Children's Hospital so I plan on going out there for my BSN too; and just like you, I am leaving after that. Well I may leave before then, it depends because I really want my DNP in Neonatal Nursing which is not offered at GRU. Some schools have a program where you can fast track to DNP or MSN while doing your BSN so I'll just see how it goes. Have you taken the TEAS yet?
