  1. Thanks Nerol! Glad I could share those with you.
Luckily, he has this HUGE website with SO much information, I think that's what's freaking me out though, it's overwhelming! I feel like I have to read all of THAT material AND study for the lab, it's just a little overwhelming. There are videos, practice quizzes, "bone-us" points, lecture help, etc. I think he really has tried to make it as easy as he can for students, there's even testimonials from previous students....
All of which say to dedicate at least 20 hours to studying outside of the class, to sit in as many extra labs and lectures as possible (so basically sitting through the same ones 2, 3 times), lots of tips on how to study. (it's suggested you record 1 lecture while taking notes, go again to listen and take notes, go home and listen to the lecture and combine them with the past 2 note taking sessions, convert the audio onto mp3 then burn on a disc to listen in the car)

Oh and they say to prepare for the stench of the lab. They make something called the "icky stick" which a lot of my nurse friends use, it supposedly will help and is better than vicks.

I guess we use power point slides and have to type stuff into power point?? I don't know what that really is! Do any of you guys use power point? Do you bring your laptops to class/A&P?

    Hey all,

Could anyone give me ideas on where to get A&P coloring books from, please! I went to Barnes & Nobles yesterday & picked up an A&P study guide but couldn't find any coloring books. I've heard through here that those are helpful & I need all of the help I can get! Thanks in advance! :spin:

I purchased a copy from Half.com for a great price and it was shipped out the same afternoon. I won’t have it by today for my first class, or this weekend to prepare for my first quiz on Tuesday(yikes!) But I should have it Monday to cram with.
I’m not sure where to start as far as getting ready for tonight, it sure seems like I should be walking into this class with a working knowledge of most of this stuff already! Time for some definition review I suppose that’s the best way to start!

  3. Hi,

I just finished my first week. It wasn't too bad, I did take medical terminology last fall though which so far I feel has helped.

Hi, to those of you having quizs already is it over the first chapter? Do you all feel like the instructor has gone over enough info to prepare you for it?

Im just curious it seems really soon, I can't wait to get my syllabus and see whats in store.
In this course there is so much stuff to pack into it so that is why we are having quizzes so early. Luckily my professor says she teaches her students (mostly nursing) to the tee because that is who will be taking care of her when she is old. She makes student outlines for each chapter which follow her PowerPoint presentation she makes. They are very detailed. She also stated that she will not pick random things out the book to test us on so that helps. I have to take the quiz before Sunday night so I will let you know how I do. And yes it is on chapter one. I also have a chemistry quiz due by Sunday as well

I just found some printable coloring worksheets at Clarkchargers.com. I'm waiting on my prof to post her syllabus online before I dive into the material. I dont.'t want to study the wrong things! I will work on this coloring sheets that I have stumbled across! Good luck and thanks!
  6. I'm taking it starting on monday. I've already taken the course through another college that operates on a term system. My current college operates on a semester basis and the credits aren't enough to transfer, so the credits won't all transfer. I need to re-take the lab to make up the difference. Bummer. All I can say is study study study!!!!!!
  7. Beginning A&P I next week i'm excited!

Your instructor sounds awesome so far, praying I have an awesome one as well!
  9. Here is another site, where you can type in A&P and see other students flash cards or you can make a set of your own.
