The same thing happened to my for both AP1 and AP2 and both times I managed to get in. This first time I went to the department chair and asked for an over-ride and they let me in. The second time, I just kept checking the online registration status over and over and over until a seat opened up. The day the bills were mailed out a seat opened up. Good Luck.

Just speaking from experience, if your school offers the course online then your financial aid would cover it. There should be no reason not to. I know for friends they may have had 1 or 2 lab days to attend on the campus, but other than you learn it all on your own.

However, I strongly recommend trying to get in an actual face to face class. If your school is very strict about making As (or just good grades) in your APHY classes and you aren't a great science student it may end up backfiring. The open labs are what save me in my 102 class.

i dont know about your school but at mine if someone is even ten minutes late to class, the prof. has the right to drop them for someone crashing who was there on time. and if you are there early and talk to the professor it will be difficult for them to say no to your face and they can also add seats. this semester was RIDICULOUS at my university. there were over 50 kids waiting out the door for a spot in nearly every class. the CSU system of california is crap right now but if your school knows how to manage a budget then you should be better off than i (sorry for the rant lol)

Hi nickynoodles,

You bet its covered! I have a loan for mine. You do have to buy the lab kit, which was a couple hundred $ (I figure I saved that on gas alone!). I got a pig, heart, cow eyeball, etc in my lab kits. I loved that class and really enjoyed the labs - hubby wasn't too happy when I had the pig splayed open on the counter though, LOL.

I'm SO worried about the same thing happening to me . Registration here starts next week but I can't register til December 2nd. If all else fails I'm gonna try to get into Medical Terminology. I'll live, I have plenty of time for my pre reqs. I kinda want my little girl in at least Kindergarten before I start nursing school. But at the same time, my husband is deployed and I wanted to knock out A&P I&II before he came home so I wouldn't have so much of a *distraction*
