Options for BS degrees with the prerequisites from an AA in Nursing?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I am looking to finish all the prerequisite courses for an AA in Nursing by the end of Summer 2010. The problem with the situation I am currently in is that I am required to enroll in college full time by Spring 2011, and if I get waitlisted for Fall 2011, I will be dropped from my current medical insurance plan. This puts me in a peculiar situation as to what exactly I should do for college. What BS degree plans can I start on in Fall 2010 that makes the most of the AA in Nursing prerequisites? I would want it to be a fail safe in case I'm forced on a waitlist for the next semester. I'm not too keen on taking psychology as a filler degree though.

How about a BSN? All of your current classes would go towards that and you'd have enough additional pre-nursing classes to take to keep you enrolled. I switched from pre-nursing at National American University to a BSN at a private college. What a huge difference in quality! The college accepted everything from NAU and there's no waiting lists.

You're making it sound easier than it is. There is only one college available in the area that would allow me to stay where I am right now, let me get my BSN, and keep an eye on the family. That school can be subjected to waitlists every once in a while, and I don't want to take the risk of losing my eligibility on medical insurance just because I wasn't able to take a full load of courses one semester.

I would suggest a degree in Health science
