Congrats! I haven't received any decision letter yet but I didn't make the early decision cut-off date, so I didn't expect to yet,....
Yea it is a HEFTY price...
I have no idea, either, about the financing....
I have been speaking with some current students, though and they have told me it is not worth the price because there are a lot of administrative prblems there and apparently alot of unhappy nursing students..

Thanks for that insight. Talking to current students is a great idea!

How did you meet or come across current students? Would the nursing staff provide you their contact info? Or perhaps facebook is a good avenue.

I actually did meet through facebook....at first it was more application advice-which was great, then when I had heard about some unrest regarding certain issues I asked and got some honesty-which is hard to find...

From what I have heard, the program has a lot of administrative problems, and issues with the merging with the college of dentistry and also some bad professors....

It was good to know because I have been wondering if it would be worth the huge debt that will be involved...
I guess maybe because NYU was the only place I applied because I know the community colleges are soo competitive I wouldn't be able to get in...
but I really want to become a nurse...
but I don't want to get myself into something that I will end up hating..and in huge debt for...
The debt wouldn't be a problem if it were a great program...but now after becoming somewhat friends and hearing some things I am second-guessing...

Yes its def good to know this. Its important to get all the info esp since its sooooo expensive. I really want to go here and am hoping it will be worth it. I am not even sure if i should keep applying else where as this was my 1st choice. I was talking to my friend who is in the program and is going to start the accel portion in jan and she said she is really happy there and it seems like a great class that will be starting in jan as well. Right now I am looking for apartments in NYC and its so crazy! I dont know how Im going to swing this.. hopefully everything works out.

yea, my friends are in their final semester of the accelerated program... they said it was okay at first but not so much now
but the newer students may have a different standard, so you never know...it could be better- I have no idea, this is just what I have heard-maybe they changed some things for the future programs...

hello NYU students,
I got my acceptance letter in the mail a few days ago (so excited) but have some questions about housing. It seems that all of the on campus housing is a shard room situation. I would rather have my own room. Is anyone looking for a roommate? Does anyone have any advice for housing? Thanks. Hope to meet you all soon.
