Nursing Pathophysiology Spring 2007

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I am taking this as one of my pe-reqs to start NS in August. Is anyone else taking Nursing patho in the spring?

I have thought about it. I still might.

I dont know about your school, but in our school you have to take patho after you're admitted into the program. Good luck anyways! :)

Specializes in Critical Care: Cardiac, VAD, Transplant.

I am starting the program in Jan. and I will be taking pathophysiology. Haven't gotten my books yet, so I am not sure what it will entail. The instructors did say that they had a higher fail rate with this class so they suggest doing it before clinicals start rather than with clinicals.

We have to take it after being admitted into the program also. I am taking it this spring along with lifespan, OB, and Med Surg. My assessment professor teaches Patho at my school and on final review day we were laughing and talking with her and she said it was nice to get one last chance to talk to us while we still liked her. LOL!

It is not required for ADN at our school, but I still think it would be a good class to take and I know I would learn a lot.

At my school, you have to get a non-degree acceptance to take it, and you apply to the program after completing it. This is for the second degree program, though, so it may typically be different.

I'm starting nursing school in Jan, so i'll be taking it along with 3 other classes. I hope I do ok! My book is "Essentials of Pathophysiology" by Porth.

I'm taking Patho too. I'll be in my second semester of nursing school. I actually can't wait. I felt last spring when I was taking Pharm and this past semester during Health Assessment at a lost whenever they mentioned all these diseases that they think we should know.

Good luck to everyone.

Im taking Patho too and also using the Porth book. I am applying to a 2nd Degree program and have to complete patho before I can be accepted.

Specializes in ED, ICU, MS/MT, PCU, CM, House Sup, Frontline mgr.

Hey, I might join! I was accepted into my ADN program to start this January so I will not sign up to take Patho to start this Spring Semester. However, a 4-year University with a RN-BSN is offering it this summer and I plan to take it then. I think the first Summer Session will begin some time before my Spring Semester ends. :trout:

Good luck to all of you beginning this January. I hope to complete the class with an "A" before the end of this summer because it will be a very good review of A&P with additional information I will need for Nursing: Med-Surge (I am told).
