Nursing Advisor Questions Help

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hi Everyone!

I am taking my teas v test in a week and scheduled an appointment to meet with my advisor the day I take my test. I have looked all over the website to find questions to ask my advisor before applying to my local community college nursing program. I know I want to ask what would should I do if I don't get accepted into the nursing program this year (Fall) and what are the things that I need to do? I have completed all of my nursing pre-reqs except Biology 220 and I want to go straight through RN but will take LPN if needed.

What are some of the questions did you ask your nursing Advisor prior to applying and turning in your nursing application?

Thank you!

Is this program designed to make me strong clinically, as well as prepare me for the NCLEX?

Do all the professor who teach have experience within the field/subject they teach? (i.e.. Maternity teacher who has worked L&D, etc.)

What are the NCLEX pass rates?

Is tutoring offered?

Are there open lab times throughout the week/weekend?

What is the attrition rate?

Are there scholarship opportunities?
