My brother was just accepted to a university BSN program with a 3.06 GPA. He had a really great TEAS Score though .

Hopefully, we won't hear from these people in a year or so under the "I'm failing my nursing classes" topics? Without a high level of mastery in core sciences, nursing school will be enormously difficult.

I actually have a 4.0 in all of my science classes and other pre requisites at the university I am at now! I transferred with a poor GPA due to not caring about school when I was 17 and just graduated! I graduated high school with a high GPA though. I don't think there is anything bad about a 3.0 GPA when majority of universities that I know of only require a 2.5-3.0 to get into a program first off!

I hope this is true for me too. I have a 2.25 GPA on my first 58 hrs because I didn't care the first time through college from 18-20 years of age. I'll have a 4.0 this semester so that will help start building my GPA.

You really need to contact the programs you're interested in and ask what their perspective is and if you can do anything to improve your odds. Some care more about your grades in the prereq classes than your overall, as long as your overall is reasonable.

If you're struggling in your prereq classes, that's a big red flag that you might not be ready for the nursing program because it's going to be a lot tougher.
