Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hello everybody. I was wondering what is the book you need to study for the exam? I know its the NLN PAX. but there seems to be many versions. for instance the mcgraw hill or mometrix media. Is it the study guides or the exam review books? Which ones are good?Should I get multiple ones? I take the exam in the fall. So i need to study study study and a.s.a.p. Any help, advice, and tips will be greatly appreciated. Sorry for asking so many questions but this is nervewracking. Oh one more question..how much do the books costs..and ISBN number? Thank you to anyone who responds. Have a nice day.

i took the pax rn test on june 25th 2013 ... only had 8 days to study bought a book off amazon and truely studied it about 4 days before the test and passed with a 99 my school requires a 97 !!! pretty good for being out of school for 10 years ... so there are 3 sections reading math science .... my advice for reading part is there really is none either you know it or dont but the question are not that hard i skipped and went back to the vocabulary after i finished the reading questions. for math i would suggest learning %%%%%% well at least my test had lots of those it also had lots of basic math but look out for your time cause it goes quick !!! and for the science part its basic anatomy and stuff on sound and light waves very few chemisty questions oh and the a & p of the cell ... so get a review book dont study to hard and take a chill pill and do your best hey you can always take it more than once

I used the book by the NLN, Review Guide for RN Pre-Entrance Exam. I believe it was the 3rd Edition. I took the test twice. I used the book to prepare both times, but I also used the Khan Academy site when I prepared to take it a second time. It was a tremendous help to me, as I struggled on the math portion of the test. I actually didn't finish that part on my first try. I believe I got 62nd percentile in the math section on the first try and then 87th on my second try and I feel like I did it mostly because of that site. Also, when you study the sciences, make sure you go through the physics stuff. There will be several physics questions.

I bought every book on the market about the NLN-Pax test or any other book that said "nursing exam" on it. I was freaking out that I was going to do poorly on the science part, but ended up doing the best in that section (95th%). There's a lot of physics on the test, but everything is pretty much basic. A lot of graphs! I found the words on the toefl vocab list very helpful for the English section and the red book is enough for science and math. Though I'm happy I bought the other books because it was a good practice for the math section. The other books I bought pretty much repeated the same questions for English and science.

OMG iam so scared right now, iam preparying to take the test but after reading all the comments i feel like i need to get more books and study hard. by the way is there anyone from nyc or ct? i could use a study buddy

did you buy the PAX-RN SECRETS STUDY GUIDE?
