Unfortunately, todate, I have not heard from MEC for Fall 2009 intake in respect ot acceptance letter.

Howvever MEC did mail & email me (seven weeks ago)to say that one of my university transcript was missing and this document has since been forwarded to MEC. Maybe we will be hearing from them soon-even this waiting process must have an end. Hope that you get in and keep the faith. Good luck to all.

I mean that they give you a lot of run around with this school, don't get me wrong the professors are excellent, most of them want to see you succeed but when it comes time to applying to the program its a different story. If your GPA is not a 3.6 and up don't even waste your time applying. Year after year out of a starting 40 only about 18 move on to the next level according to some of my friends that got in. They are very scrict about their science courses. They don't tell you up front but if you repeat a science course that automatically disqualifies you. Even if you get a C and retake it and get an A that's not a good look to them. That was my problem micro was hard for me. I can't blame no one but myself but I feel if a student works hard to fix their mistakes at least give them a chance. To each its own, my advice is ACE your sciences the 1st shot you get.

khiadestiny, i see what ur saying. Most community colleges are like that though, they start with a large number then in time it usually whittles down. And they should give credit to someone who got a C then retake and get an A. I dont know yah, let me find out, huhmm...

you are right out of 40 only 14 graduate and take the nclex .If that is not a red flag to prospective applicat I dont know what is.I think the resaon why they failure rate is so high its because you need a B- in nursing classes which is a 82 and lets be serious its hard from people i know in other programs to get a 75.

Nursing in general is a hard field, u have to know what u are doing and how to go about doing if not ull end up killing somebody. These schools have a reputation to upkeep, they dont wanna send out nobody that would provide unsafe practices.
