I think some of you are misinterpretting the acceptance letter for Medgar, unlike the other CUNY schools @ Medgar you have to complete ALL of your pre-req before you enter the clinical phase. The acceptance letter means you were accepted into the school to take the pre-clinical courses. Medgar only accepts approximately 40 students a semester and they start taking the students who were there in the school the semester prior. I went to this school and this is the main reason I had a tough time with this school. They say they take 2.5 on the website but trust me the 3.7 GPA and up are the ones getting in first.

i no..i was talkin about getting into into the college for preclinicals

Since reading your post, I have made some enquires and the best strategy is to have many options as possible when pursuing the AAS. You seem to be very prudent , smart (lol) and resourceful in your quest for a school of best fit-bravo! Good luck!

In that regard, I will be grateful if you could pm me about Suny Clinton and Tompins Cortland. Info on tuition, passing grades, duration, location, transportation and housing will be welcomed. I will also be happy if you would keep me up todate with the pros and cons of your chosen school, which will help me decision wise.

hi firstchoicelast, i also alied to the fall 09 RN program at ME. How was the nln? and did u get ur results yet?

Sorry, you are more advance than me. I applied for the AAS/RN. Will be doing preclinicals-Fall 2009. However for students at your level, it is expected that results/letter will be out by late April 2009. So good luck and hoping that you got in.

to letarn2b, i took the nln in the first week of april, cuz thats when MEC gives it, and im still waiting on my results.

refer to my first post.You have to wait for a letter for a interview to take another math and writing test that they give.I hope you kept your options open becuae clinical spots are small.As with all nursing schools once you get in its hard to stay in.
