Re: NEED HELP- Trying to apply for Nursing school
It wasn't until my fourth and last year of undergrad that I decided I wanted to apply to nursing school. I just went ahead and graduated from my university and decided to take my prereqs at my local community college. I think that was somewhat of a poor choice by me because as soon as I graduated, many of the community colleges in my area cut me off from financial aid since I had my bachelor's degree already.
Now, since you're pretty much done with prereqs, I would take the interim time to research other nursing schools that you can apply to. The most frustrating thing during the application process is finding a prospective school, but realizing that you have everything but one or two classes. I wish they would find a way to standardize prerequisites. I would use the time between now and when you graduate to take those necessary classes (if you haven't already) or even take easy intro classes to boost your cumulative GPA so that you'll be competitive for ABSN or direct-entry MSN programs.
