National University San Diego

Hello All!!
I too am hoping to re-enter into the N.U program in October '08. I was in the program late last year, but had to leave due to me finding full-time work. Administrators "suggest" that students not work at all. I "suggest" that they talk to my landlord.
I now work nights at a casino in San Diego. Not attending school is driving me nuts. I haven't heard anything yet, either.
Working full time and attending N.U will be a crazy experience. I have worked and attended nursing school before, but not N.U. It is fast pace and 3 days a week (Oct2008-1 day of lecture (9am-230pm) and 2 days of lab (7am-3pm), that's 8 hours, ya'll). This does change towards the end of the class; for 2-3 weeks you do clinicals. These clinicals are located in San Diego; they include Scripps Memorial, Sharps,and some other hospitals. I will just pray and ask God to guide me; this going to be one heck-of-a ride.:scrm:

That makes me sad...I've been living a walk away from the beach for the last 7 years...In quirky Santa Cruz too. I was down there in Escondido and knew immediately that i couldn't live there will all the strip malls and chain stores. Someone else was saying that NU students also go to Sharp and Scripps hospitals so I might try and live in Hillcrest-I hear that place is pretty Santa Cruzy. And it seems more centrally located.

I also wanted to ask you where you work as an ER tech. I have been volunteering in the ER up here for the last year or so and just got my EMT cert too. I am hoping to get a job as a tech down there. Know of any places hiring?
