Is my GPA to low for Darton College Nursing Program

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello...I want to get into darton college nursing program in Albany, ga. My GPA is at a 2.7 right now. I still have Microbiology (I have to retake that), American government, U.S. History, and pharmacology to take. I just reapplied to the nursing program. All applications are due by September 15, 2010. The first time I took the HESI exam I made a 66% on it without studying. Does your Hesi score have to be really high to get in Darton college? What is the average score? I am retaking it on October 5th. Do anyone know the lowest hesi and GPA score darton has taken? I really want to get in this time around. And does anyone know what I can study for the HESi exam? Thanks!

Bump what that man says he doesn't have the final say so...God does. Don't loose hope or faith ok?

Thanks for the encouragement. Your right who knows what will happen, shocking things happen everyday.

U welcome...we all need it!

All this waiting is killing me...what about y'all? I pray we all get in...have anyone heard of anything else from darton?

Do anyone know the total class average for the hesi exams?

For my group it was 77% all together. I was on the HESI site and was clicking around and found they let you make a study guide based on your scores and problem areas. After you make the study guide they break down everything and give you practice questions on it.

Do anyone know when they will be doing the acceptance meetings?

Has anyone heard anything? I hope our letters come today!!! This is killing me! I will be posting my acceptance or denial on here. Hopefully we all got in.. :)

Congrats to all of the accepted students!

I have a question regarding pre-reqs...

I honestly have not taken PHED and will not have it completed before entering the nursing program. Will this be a problem?

Also, what is a "good" HESI score. Have not taken it yet, and want to score well.

Thanks :)

I think a good hesi sore is in the 80 perentile or higher. As far as the PHED i've heard people get in without all of their pre-reqs, but any current nurainf student will say before entering make sure you have all your pre-reqs out the way. I'm taking a zumba class for my PHED,
