Microbiology grade came in..

The same thing just happened to me with A&P II. I missed a B by 1.5 points. I asked the professor if I could come by to look at my final exam (lecture is online and we never get to actually see our results, just the grades, unless we go by her office) and she said yes, but I can't make it there tonight. I got an 80 on my final (out of 105 possible points), which surprised me...I felt really good about the exam. There were only a few answers I felt unsure of.

Right there with ya.

speak to the instructor. sometimes you can get the next higher grade out of them. it doesn't hurt to try. the worst they can say is they aren't going to change the grade. my wife is really good at getting a better grade in her psych program. good luck.

I know it is common at my school for students to retake classes in the summer when they offer accelerated classes (some are 5 weeks, some are 8 weeks) . They usually do well because the material is fresh in their minds and they get their "A's the second time through. I would be really bummed with a "C", too! Sorry about that!

ahh this happened to me when I took Chemistry. I worked SOO hard all semester and eneded up with a C+ because of my final. i was literally one point off. I was so upset but managed to get A-'s in all my other major sciences and still have a 3.6 GPA. don't let it get you down just keep working very hard in all of your other classes!

People forget that a "c" is still Decent in Nursing school - Nursing school is HARD! :) Dont sweat it.

don't worry, a C isn't so bad. where i live to get into NS, they wont even glance at you with a C.

if you feel real bad try retaking it in the summer, maybe you can make it up?

I was really hoping for a B, but our teacher decided to pile on 3 tests the last week of school and I only made a 69 on one of them and it screwed me up. I'm really annoyed, I worked so hard all semester and only came out with a C.

In the last two weeks of school my class had a take home test and three tests. We actually had a test and the final on the same day. Poor planning on the profs part. Many of us were a tad stressed out to say the least.

I just got a C in Micro too...so disappointing. My teacher wasnt the best teacher though! Anyway, I was only 5 points away from a B. How frustrating. My teacher had pretty much all essay questions for every test...
