MDC Accelerated RN program, Spring 2010

Hey all:

I just started a thread like this on the Florida board! I submitted my app a few weeks ago, I was told they wouldn't be making any decisions until around Thanksgiving time ( crazy! .. but then again at MDC you can talk to 5 different people and get 5 different answers, so who knows...?) Best of luck to everyone!

I also applied for the accelerated program. Hoping and praying. I read in another thread that there were fewer applications thus time. I don't want another rejection.

How many peeps applied for the fall accelerated nursing program for perspective? Also can everyone indicate their gpa... lets see what other info is useful....

is it true that the baptist or was it jackson program were reopened thus increasing the amount of admission slots for this semester? does anyone know what the cut-off for last spring was and yes we are ALL aware that last fall was a 3.8, but the advisor indicated spring is typically a lower cut off...




so basically, if anyone calls advisors, please can you ask them any of those questions- especially the cutoff for last spring, the application number for last spring and if there are going to be more admissions this spring!

I applied with a 3.6 gpa in my science classes ... I know I probably won't make it in with those grades, but I'd be kicking myself if I didn't apply & found out that the GPA cutoff was lower this time around. The advisors told me the same thing, that the GPA cutoff is typically lower during the Spring, so gonna keep the faith! Let's keep each other posted if we hear anything!
