What's the passing grade or score ?

Not sure. I only know it as a pre-entrance exam. It's an exam to see if you can get through reading comp., math (up to basic algebra ), vocabulary, etc.
If you pass you then go on an interview w/ person in-charge of the nursing program.

Thanx for answering my msg. Sorry I can't be more specific.

Is it the TABE test? If it is the TABE, I don't know about other states, but Florida requires you to have at least an 11.0 on the TABE.

Hi,

I have to take the NLN in February and have been studying for about a month on and off. I plan on hitting the math hard for the next couple of weeks.
You will have to call your school because each school is different. Our school requires a score of at least 50% in each section. This is the first year we have had a pre-entrance exam and they are still working out the kinks.

Good luck

Hi there.
Thanx for replying ! I'm beginning my prep-course on Jan 4. Lasts til March 8. This course provides review on all matters concerning NLN ( pre-entrance exam.) I feel like I need to do this because it's been a long time since I had schooling. Like u said... I'm taking this course mostly for the math since it always intimidated me. Never really liked math. Have no choice now, do I ???
Course costed me $449.00, so, I better pass entrance exam !!! I'm also studying w/ some review books I purchased from book store and rented from library. I even went as far as buying basic math review books, basically for algebra.
Anyway, best of luck to u.

Hope 2 hear from u again.

Wow, I wish my school offered a course. I would probably sign up for it. I am very nervous about the math also, it has never been a strong point for me. Even doing the practice tests in vocabulary and science are intimidating. I always thought those were my strong points. I hope that my practice tests are enough.

Good luck with your studying, maybe you can tell me what your class is like. I take my test at the end of February. I will let you know how it goes.

I'll definitely keep u informed. I'll let u know what the instructor(s) tell us abt the test, etc.
I found that the more u do, the more u absorb, and the better you'll do. Repetition is key. There are times that I even re-read the parts of study guide that I find difficult & challenging to me, from the beginning. It's a bit annoying, but, it seems to help me.

Yes, pls keep in touch and let me know how u found the test. You'll be taking the entrance exam before I will. I'll be taking mine in March sometime.
Best of luck. Sure you'll do great !!!
