I'm new around here...well not really, it's just that I have officially become a member and am no longer a lurker
I have been admitted to attend BYU in Provo, UT this Fall. The nursing department accepts applications to the nursing program both in the fall and winter semesters. I was planning on doing all my prerequisites in my first semester and apply to the nursing program to start in the winter semester. These are the classes I would need to take this fall (these are the only prereqs needed to apply):
Chem 285- intro bio-organic chemistry
NDFS100- Human Nutrition
Nurs180- Preview of nursing
PDBio220- Human Anatomy (w/ lab)
Nurs102- medical terminology
It would be 16 credits total. I would really appreciate some advice on this. Is this nuts? Impossible?doable? I'm married and have a two year old at home, so how would the difficulty of the classes, plus the workload, plus the fact that I have a family to take care of work out (in your opinion)? Should I just take a whole year instead of a single semester to get the prereqs done? I would love to hear what you think! Thank you!
