abrainerd you have an excellent GPA, but remember you are competting against other with high GPA as well. Yes take it over if, you want to get in this program. Do not take this lightly and let your NET be your down fall. This test should have been easy for you!! I think you might have been nervous. You can do it!!! Retake the NET you owe it to yourself:smiley_ab . You can bet them.

    This is an interesting thread.

I think my overall composite was 85%, and I passed the reading and math sections with no problem. However I scored "frustration level" on my test taking skills. Go figure... apparently my test taking skills didn't prevent me from doing well on the NET!

I hope the test taking skills score isn't used against me in the future as I continue my education.
The test taking skills section is just a tool that help the teacher to better understand your testing ability. It should help you in the future if anything!!!!

Take the test again. This time you will be calmer because you know what to expect. Also, take some rosemary oil with you and sniff it before you start the test. It will help you focus.

Hey... I just took my Nursing Entrance Test and scored an 84% on the composite percentage and was in the 89th percentile. I scored a 67% on my science reading comprehension and 100% on my essential math skills. I was just wondering what the odds were of scoring 100%, which I'm pretty astonished with the fact that I actually scored that.

Hello all, I just took my NET yesterday and wanted to compare grades to those who have been accepted by nursing programs. I made the following:

NET Composite Score: my score 65%; average is 64% and passing is 50%
NET Percentage Rank: my score 52; average is 50 and passing is 17.
Overall Comp. Math: my score 72%; average 69% and passing 52%
Composite Reading: my score 58%; average 59% and passing 43%
    Testtaking Skills Level: 33: Instructional

I am shocked that a rank of 17 is acceptable to get into nursing school.

How did you guys do and what do the nursing schools look for in this information?

    TIA!!
I don't know of a school that would accept someone with a rank of 17. Our school has a minimum NET score requirement of 65 composite... but at the same time it is competative so it is not likely that someone with a 65 would actually be admitted. Have you applied for nusing school yet? If not, you might want to try to re-take the test to bring your scores up a little bit.

I took the NET on Jan 16 and received my scores within the next week.
    I scored a Comp 91%.
    Math 97%
    Reading Comp 85%
These were the only two scores considered for our overall comp score. Although there was also a grammar and science section, that wasn't averaged in our score. I scored in the 98th percentile, but with the competition to get into nursing school, you never know if it is good enough!

My scores were exactly like the above poster too, 97 math, reading comp 85 ----composite 91. I took the computerized version for what its worth ( seemed easier)

Can any of you help me. I got my results in a few days ago and was not impressed. My science reading score was low, but I'm having a hard determining how they came up with the score.

I am wondering if any of you with your scores handy can help me? If you add up the three sections that the reading was based on i.e. Inferential Reading, Main Idea of passage, and Predicting of outcomes and divide by 3, do you get you the overall science reading comprehension score?

    Hi,

I got a 80% in reading comprehension and 90% in math against the Test A's in the ERI book. This was totally cold without studying, and I finished both tests in just under an hour. Is it worth my time to study for the NET? I was told I only needed a 50% in reading and 60% in math for admission to the nursing program, and that scores weren't "competitive".

I think I would do better on the real tests, since I wouldn't blow through the whole thing in 55 minutes without double-checking my work. They give you two or three hours, and I really have nothing exciting going on Friday morning.

    Are scores actually competitive?

    Thanks!
