by southphilly_chic May 7, '12So I was just going to take the pre-reqs that the school I want to go to recommend and attempt to transfer when I was done. If everything went according to my plans I would be starting Fall 2013. But I've decided I'm gonna get my associates from my community college and take as many pre-reqs classes as I can while I'm there because it will cost me less money in the long run.
I guess I made this decision because I got a C in my A&P1 this past semester. I know I'll be taking this class over to get a higher grade. I feel like the more classes I take that are part of the nursing curriculum beforehand and get a good grade in the better chance I have to get in... So now my goal is to work on starting nursing school in the fall of 2014...Last edit by southphilly_chic on May 7, '12

Also it's not always about the grades (although the grades are important). If you can, try to volunteer at a hospital or clinic setting. It will further increase your chances of getting into a nursing program. -
May 7, '12 by melc0305You have to be flexible in life. It's not a bad thing to change direction as long as you are still moving forward. I always write out every scenario and evaluate the best route to take. Best of luck! -
