So I was just going to take the pre-reqs that the school I want to go to recommend and attempt to transfer when I was done. If everything went according to my plans I would be starting Fall 2013. But I've decided I'm gonna get my associates from my community college and take as many pre-reqs classes as I can while I'm there because it will cost me less money in the long run.

I guess I made this decision because I got a C in my A&P1 this past semester. I know I'll be taking this class over to get a higher grade. I feel like the more classes I take that are part of the nursing curriculum beforehand and get a good grade in the better chance I have to get in... So now my goal is to work on starting nursing school in the fall of 2014...

  4. Best of luck southphilly_chic!
Also it's not always about the grades (although the grades are important). If you can, try to volunteer at a hospital or clinic setting. It will further increase your chances of getting into a nursing program.
  5. You have to be flexible in life. It's not a bad thing to change direction as long as you are still moving forward. I always write out every scenario and evaluate the best route to take. Best of luck!
  6. Make straight A's and you'll be safe. Remember that all the hard work will pay-off when you are done, and don't give up!
