I am so frustrated with Pace University

  1. I mailed my application package on 9/13 with a certified way. The USPS website says my application package was delivered on 9/16. Now I'm asking the graduate administration office about it. They told me they didn't get the mail!!! Then yesterday I asked a few questions concerning about my application, deadline for spring 2007 and my certified mail receipt No. Just now I got an email from Pace and they only said:"Yes, you mailed to the correct address." Oh, god, please!!! Nothing about my real concern and I just feel they really don't care. I believe they did receive my package but they may have misplaced it or lost it. I am REALLY REALLY frustrated. I thought because Pace University is a private school, they would have better service or attitude. But I was wrong, right? I had similar experience with a C.C. Now I begin to think like this: Is it because I'm a foreigner so that I'm being treated like this? Or it's just all the schools like this. Somebody please tell me. Do I need to go to the post office to ask for the signature of the one who took my mail? Or it's just no use doing so?

So what was your concern? That they got the package? They did. You have to remember, universities get a lot of applications, and it may take time to sort through them all. What did you specifically want to know?

Hey there! I understand your frustration completely! I moved to the city of my university before even being accepted- enrolled in another discipline while I got all my prereqs straight (took a year). After mailing my application I got the message that they had not received my SAT scores and I would be waitlisted until 2007 (this was 2005!). I simply emailed them back a reciept of my scores being sent to them, and one very long week later I was told there was room for me in next semesters class! Like anything involving lots of people and lots of paperwork, things get lost, especially when it gets down to the deadline. Keep your chin up Good luck (and be very very persistent!)

I completely feel your pain. I have applied to three schools and every single one has either not received my transcripts or other stuff I had mailed was missing. It's really frustrating b/c if you are really orgainzed it doens't seem to show. Just keep bugging the schools. That seems to be the only choice. Good luck!
