Humboldt Points

Hey everyone!!

I was wondering if anyone knows what the point cut-off has been for Humboldt State's nursing program over the last few semesters (or even just fall 2009). I'm feeling discouraged as my total points are a little low, or so I think, and was hoping anyone might have some applicant pool statistics OR information regarding their own application points that they're willing to share.

Appreciated!!

Just curious, do the majority of people who apply to Humboldt have about 90+ points?

As of now I barely have 92 points and I'm still worried... ever since the CSU's shut down spring 2010 its gonna be hectic to get into humboldt...

I absolutely agree that it's going to be a crazy application period. I'd feel fairly safe with 92 though!

I am an HSU graduate. I got in with 95 points. HSU is still accepting applications for fall 2009. They are the only program out of the entire state of California that is.

Are you applying for spring 2010 or fall 2010?

I have the same range as you do, Solidus. I'm basically going to forget HSU as an option (although I'd love to miraculously get in!)

I just don't have the 90+ points it takes! I'm sure the cutoff will be around like 95 due to the spring CSU budget thing...!

UPDATE***

Ack! I just re-calculated it and I atually have somewhere between an 82-85, not 85-87. So I'm really giving up!

Hahahahahaha
We were in this together since the beginning! haha We both planned on applying to HSU for spring, intending to get in, now we are both giving up! Hahaha If we do recieve an email back in November saying that we got in, then this would be one crazy story to tell. No, seriously, I really am giving up at this point too. Our main focuses now are at the schools we want to go to. I'm not even in the 90s range, and on top of that, there are probably more competitive applicants for that semester too so I can imagine the fierce competitions for the 30 spots.

Definitely. I'm willing to bet there are more than 30 people who applied who have over 100 points! And i'm in the low to mid 80s, so...yeah! I can't believe you get docked 10 full points for having a 3.69! That's not such a bad GPA! Sheesh, lol. And then I only get 12 points out of 15 for the overall GPA too. Atleast I get all the points for the TEAS (), not like it matters. Totally lame. Anyway...

YES our main focus now are SMU (for me) and CSUB (for you)! I heard somewhere that like 70% of the students who applied for spring have spots guaranteed because hardly anyone applied since no transfers could apply. I highly doubt you'll be denied. I might die of shock, actually. And I'd BETTER get into SMU considering I made it to #1 on the waitlist for fall '09 and NEVER MADE IT! bah. You have to let me know AS SOON as you hear.

and PS if we both got into HSU (miracle of miracles!!), we should both take it PURELY due to the craziness of the story lol
