Do you guys think its better to take A&P I and general Chem in the same semester? or A&PII with general chem?? Because the University that I go to doesn't offer it until winter quarter and the chem classes are the community colleges are all closed! So I'm going to be taking A&P I with developmental psych. Should I try to add the chem class instead??

In my opinion I would take A+P 2 w/ Chem instead of A+P I with chem. Not that A+P 2 was all that easier...but A+P I is more or less a "shock to the system" as far as amount of studying is concerned. Once you get a feel for what you need to do as far as studying A+P you will then be able to phase Chemisty into the flow. I know some people will say that a basis in Chem will help w/ A+P I but in all honesty *I* never felt the level of Chem "learned knowledge" was all that needed for either. I have YET to take college level Chem and I breezed through A+P I+ II. I *did* find 2 to be easier and more interesting * to me* but A+PI was definetely a shock to me the amount of time I had to put into it.

GOOD LUCK!

Well, I am taking 11 credit hours here in Georgia. I am taking A&P I, Med. Micro and World Literature. I also am a Patient Care Tech, working full time and full time mother to three little ones, ages, 10, 7(soon to be 8) and 5(soon to be six). Also, "adoptive mom" to an almost 1 y.o. Persian Grey Kitten named Misty Grey as well as a Wife to a crazy but wonderful hubby. That's alot on my plate. But I am determined to finish. Good luck to everyone here!!!

I'm taking 14 credit hours this fall semester.
BIO 2200 - Microbiology - 4
BIO 1510 - Basic Life Mechanics(?) - 4
PSY 1010 - Introduction to Psychology - 3
NFS 2210 - Human Nutrition - 3

Not such a bad semester.
Microbiology is gonna suck though. I'm already behind on my reading. Heh!

I took General Bio, A & P I, Micro, A & P II, now Organic/Biochem. From my experiences, it would have helped alot, if I had taken Chemistry first. It would have made things easier to put together with the other science classes. However, A & P I is a class that requires mucho study time and memorization. Take that into consideration when choosing classes to go with it. It is a time consuming class. A & P II requires study time also, but not like A & P I. That is just my experience with them. I would have understood them much easier had I taken Chem first.
