Help with RN school prerequisites

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hi,

I will be going to SCF in Venice, FL for nursing gen eds and prerequisites in January '15 I am in need of any advice as far as which classes to take first and how to do the best . Any and every experience is really appreciated! To even be considered for the RN program your gpa has to be at least 3.0+ thank you in advance!

I just applied to my nursing program in New Jersey, this is the order I took my classes. A&P1, Chem with Lab, A&P 2, Micro. This is the order my advisor recommended. Good Luck. I found Chem and Micro to be the hardest. A&P 1 & 2 just made sense to me because you can visualize whats happening.

You need to speak to an advisor at your school, preferably the one for pre nursing /nursing students. Every school is different. Some classes, like Microbiology require A&P first. Some colleges even make you take Chem and/or bio before you can take A&P. As far as how to do well, be organized and plan. Set goals and know how to prioritize.

Yea, that is the only downfall about there. Instead of an advisor for each program there are like 4 for the school. But graduation. and passing Nclex is 98% I have to take 3 maths i think, both written communications etc. Seems like such a long shot! Thanks for comments :) I think I am just doubting myself
