Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello everyone !

I have a question my school offers an associate of science degree! I do hope to apply to nursing school and transfer from a community college to a university and end up with a bachelors in science of nursing degree.

But I was wondering has anyone gotten their associate of science degree before they ended up transferring to a university?

Or did you just transfer to the university and applied to nursing school

Thank you in advance .

You can go either way. Many people get their ASN and then transfer to universities to get their BSN.

Hiya! If you are referring to the Associate of Science (AS) degree that isn't related to the associate degree of nursing (ASN) ~ then I am doing that route :') Since you're already taking the prereqs for that degree (adding like a few more classes) it doesn't hurt to add it to your resume before you transfer. Good luck with your studies!

I got my Associates of Science in Biology, and transferred to a four year for my BSN.

Specializes in NICU Level 3.

I am in Texas and graduated in May with my ADN (Associate Degree in Nursing). I am planning on doing an online RN-BSN program as soon as tuition reimbursement kicks in for my job!
