GPA question for ABSN applicant

    When one is being considered for entrance into an ABSN program, how important is your GPA from another degree compared to the GPA earned in the pre-reqs for the nursing program?

    Depends on program, but it can be very important. The one I'm in now states you must have at least a 3.0 GPA from previous degree and they mean it. I've heard of people who applied with a 2.9 and a 4.0 prerequisite and still got declined due to their previous degree GPA being a 2.9.
