Going from a University to a CC?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello everyone.

Currently, I am taking my pre-nursing pre-requisites at a university that does not have a nursing school. Last semester, I attempted on taking A&P one but ended up dropping with a W because of my poor time management. However, I really did learned from my mistake and I've done pretty well so far in rest of my classes.

Would it be a huge disadvantage for me to transfer to a CC this upcoming school year especially with that W from A&P? My family is going through some financial difficulties and it will help tremendously if I can go to a CC to help my family out a bit.

Any input will be great! Thanks in advance!

I don't see why it would be a disadvantage. If going to a CC will help you financially you should definitely go ahead and take your classes there.

Agreed.

A lot of places don't care so much where you went to school as long as your grades were good throughout and you passed the NCLEX at the end.

Looks like there isn't a benefit of staying at the university, if you're planning on becoming a nurse. So switch to the place where you would be able to go to nursing school.
