I have my interview tomorrow. I definitely have a very nervous energy!

What all are ladies wearing? As far as the heels question, I am definitely wearing flats. Heels look nice, but they're just not practical for a morning full of facility tours.

Good luck to everyone who is interviewing!

Good luck ppl going tomorrow and next Tuesday :-)

OK no heels. I'll definitely be doing a lot of walking.

What I'm wearing will depend entirely on the weather. I just checked todays and its pretty humid and sunny. I don't wana be sweating balls when I go in to interview, but I would like to err on the side of being over dressed. Some nice slacks, and a decent blouse with short jacket. Unless it rains...oh I don't know.

It went really well! I felt very confident with it.

Definitely be prepared for a lot of walking! They take you on a good tour of the Washington Hospital Center in the morning.

Good luck to everyone who has yet to go!

How much does the scholarship give you?

My main hesitation with Georgetown Accelerated BSN program is the cost- the total tuition for this program is approximately $68,000.

Source: official Georgetown Univ. School of Nursing Chat.

A RN/BSN starting salary is $20-$25/hr so paying back student loans would be a burden. Doctors can afford to take on loads of student debt because their starting salaries are around $80-$200/hr.

The scholarship covers 80% of your tuition.

Hello!

Interview went well. There is a lot of walking so definitely wear comfortable shoes! I wore flats and my feet still hurt. It was also raining so make sure you look at the weather.

I do have a question for those who interviewed- the tuition they quoted was $70,000 without housing included. Did I mishear her? or was that including housing costs?

The $70k is just tuition, nothing else. It's very high but that's one of the reasons I'm so interested in the 80% scholarship with the WHC.

Also, keep in mind that only traditional undergrads get on-campus housing. The accelerated degree, grad students, etc have to live off campus. They have housing links to help people find rentals and roommates though.

From what I understand, new BSNs get something closer to $30/hr in DC, but it's still a lot of debt to pay off. I've got my fingers crossed for the scholarship for sure!

Did any of you that have already interviewed use the bus from the metro to get to campus? Does anyone going on Tuesday plan on using it? I'm nervous to try it out on the day of the interview!
