re: Free Tuition at U of DC -ended
It is not rude of me one bit to tell you to take 2 seconds out of your day to make sure you are passing along true and valid information. What I could have said is that it just makes you look dumb, and that would have been rude.
You are right, the University of Washington is one of the top rated schools of nursing and considered an ivy league public college, which is why I told you that you should report your advisor. She should not be forwarding along "junk mail" to her students without checking into things first. It is just plain ignorant.
How would you feel if you were a student in the DC area (like myself) and read information about such a wonderful opportunity, that was total garbage? You would probably be irritated. Which is exactly why your advisor, and now you, should not be passing along that kind of stuff.
You can think I am rude all you want, and honestly I don't care. But the truth is, you shouldn't play "telephone". I personally do not pass on information that I do not know to be true. It is considered gossip, and what you heard is a rumor, not a fact. People take information like that seriously, and you would too if you have heard it about, let's say UW...
I am fully aware that you had good intentions, but that does not excuse the obligation to review your facts first.
