Following up on application references

Hi Everyone. I'm new here, and don't see anything regarding this topic, so wanted to get some advice and opinions.

My nursing school application is due January 20th, and I have everything done and ready to turn in. I requested my academic references before the end of the last semester, just after Thanksgiving, and both professors were willing to give me a good reference (especially since I earned the top spot in each class!)

However, I just called the nursing department, and they just told me they don't see anything in yet. I'm trying hard not to panic, but I need some help in the most tactful way to follow up with my professors to see if they've completed them, and remind them that they are due in lest than 2 weeks.

Any ideas?

Thanks for your help!

Gabrielle

I had this problem too. I just sent Thank you cards as a reminder and hopefully guilt them into doing it. That way you can also mention that you already turned in your application.
