Ok looking back at previous threads for people applying for spring term it looks like they got their acceptance/denial letters in October, Spring 08 got theirs on October 22! I really hope that is the case this year because that is next week and I definitely cannot wait all the way to November to know if I am accepted or not! I want to know NOW!

Yea they say 8 weeks but am praying they give it to us sooner. My cousin started in Spring 2008 and they received their letters around October 22! I am applying with 202.28 points hope that is enough, I actually dreamed last night that I received my letter lol

196.2.....Very close to the cutoff I imagine. Could go either way. I dream I calculated my points wrong, lol. Here's to hoping Also, I started a thread about car pooling. I live in JAX beach so you gals with over 200 ( a shoe in) let me know if anyone is interested. If I get in , of course.

Not to rain on your anxious parade.....but, for this past summer (my class) and fall, they waited the FULL 8 weeks before mailing out the acceptance letters. Even knowing this, I bet ya'll babysit your mailboxes until then! (We all did! LOL!)

When I applied I had 217 pts. Pretty much a shoe-in, but I hated the wait anyway! The entrance is getting more competitive with each subsequent semester, but I think 196 should make the cut.

Good luck to all of you! (I won't see you because I am Eve/WE and we hang our hats at the Deerfield Campus.)

That maybe true but with us applying for Spring start I believe they will give letters out early because of all the holidays coming up in the next month... We will see and I know they made you guys wait the whole 8 weeks because I have several friends who were accepted in Summer and Fall 2009. lol I am going to be optimistic about the situation and hope they send them out early because I will be in Paris for the Holidays! I believe 196 will be fine! I think that should be around the cutoff especially since I heard a lot of people had applied with over 200! We will see, I just hope we have a definite answer before Thanksgiving, preferably Halloween lol!

Ahhhh, the power of positive thinking! (or not! )

The truth is that the department is under transition. There were many reasons that they took the full 8 weeks. Many of those reasons still exist.

I am more than confident that you would be more likely to get it LATE because of holidays, not early.

Good luck to you.
