Difficulty level of Intro to Organic & Biochemistry?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I'm taking Intro to Chemistry I this semester, scheduled to take Organic and Biochemistry this summer. Since I'm struggling with Intro to Chem (I have a B-, but I'll probably wind up with a C or C+), I'm worried that I won't be able to handle it. I need to take it this summer or I won't be able to start my clinicals in Fall '06. Thanks for any advice! :)

You're projecting into the future. You're current grade is a B- so why are you lowering it to a C, when that hasn't happened? Why are you worried about a course you're not even in yet?

Stay focused. The next chemistry course builds on this one, so I think you'll do good in Organic and Biochem. It won't be easy. I just started the Organic part of my chemistry course and it's not too hard, but tedious and time consuming. I have to take my time to think, study, and work the problems. But in the end I've done well so far.

Good luck to you. Look brightly to the future that you will have nothing but success, and keep your feet grounded in the present. You can and you will do this. :)

Thanks for answering Tweety. I should have explained myself better. The only reason I have a B- is because of the labs. If we show up for lab and answer all of our lab questions, we get an A in lab. The actual class, I have a low C. I'm just not getting it. The reason I was worried about the Organic chem is because it's a 7-week course. I just spoke to my professor and half of the class will be a review to me...so no worries. :coollook:

Good luck to you! 7 weeks is indeed going to be tough. They recently expanded my chemistry from 8 to 10 weeks to make it a tad easier on us. But you can do this!

get as good an understanding of what you are doing now...you will need this background later on...but believe that you can do...good luck
