Fun2care, Why won't UTA take your Spanish classes?
They said that they are not Jr/Sr level courses.
The course #s begin w/ 1 or 2, not 3 or 4. lol (1411 & 1412.....& 2313) So, I have to have 6 credit hours of Jr/Sr level electives before going into the RN-BSN program.
BUT.......I guess I really need to concentrate on getting my ADN first! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh, well at least you will be prepared for Spanish at UTA!
uhhhhh No lo comprehendo! :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle
OK, I may have 3 semesters, and 3 years from high school, but it's a use it or lose it situation! LOL
My daughter will be taking beginning spanish next semester (2 9-wk semesters). I can't wait. I'll be talking to her in spanish more than I do now....bugs her to death because she can't undertand me! I make her figure out what I'm saying!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
The poor girl. Imagine having your mother forcing you to do school work at home by constantly going on in Spanish, hehehe!
:rotfl: :rotfl:
After getting my ADN, and passing the NCLEX, I will have to think what to do.
More than likely I will be so overwhelmed during the first year. I will probably resume after the first year....not sure yet.
The UTA advisor said that if an ADN RN is working as an RN, a waiver could be easily obtainable for the sciences. So, if I needed to wait, I could. :)

Do you know if Brookhaven is still a satellite for El Centro? I currently attend Northlake and I know that they are, but on Brookhaven's site they still list themselves as satellite. If they are, why aren't they listed on the application as a choice?

No, they have their own nursing program.

Katie is correct, who knows why they still have that.
Here's the correct URL for the updated Broohaven RN program:

I wish UT -Austin had an online RN-BSN program, I'd much rather do my RN-BSN through UT!
Why do you prefer UT-Austin over UTA?
lol... Just because I'd rather be a Longhorn than a Maverick. :)
Really it doesn't matter. I may end up doing neither, and picking some Uni of another state that has an online RN-BSN. LOL
Maybe I can transfer to an HCA hospital in Roundrock or Austin after my oldest daughter graduates from high school.
Then we both can graduate from UT! That's where she wants to go anyway, it would just save me money.....no dorm cost! LOL!

Do you already have CPR card? I have read that it is needed for applying. Do you know any place that have cheap CPR class?Katie

I took my Healthcare Provider CPR class at Presbyterian on Walnut and Greenville. It was $45, and it was an excellent class. I took it in May and I remember everything from the class.

Arlington may call themselves the Mavericks, but they are certainly in the UT system! I received my MSN in May from UTA, fully expecting my "master's hood" to be blue & white...the Maverick colors. Imagine this Sooner fan's surprise when it turned out to be burnt orange & white...UT colors!
