Brookhaven College in Texas - 1st Email

Be aware that on 10/15/2008, the Nursing office sent out emails advising of the Application Points calculated for the submission of your application. If you did not get an email, investigate quickly. The deadline to settle all disputes must be completed before 10/28/2008.

Does anyone know when the nursing office plans on sending out admission status emails? I know this week is the status on application points and the DCCCD website says that admission status emails will go out December 11th; is this true? Do we really have to wait THAT LONG??? I was just curious if anyone had heard different. Thanks!

I called A.C. today at Brookhaven and was told that we would get our admission status emails early next week. She said that they didn't have many disputes and has just about everything wrapped up for admissions. So, be checking your emails next week! Good luck to everyone!!

Well that is good news to here. Did she say what day to expect the email for admission? If i dont get in I will register for the End of Life Issues class and reapply for my three points.

She didn't say what day; just said to be expecting them early next week. I was so shocked by her response I didn't even think to ask more detailed questions. But then again, I don't think she knew yet exactly what day as she still has today for any disputes. I think you have a really good plan, get your extra point from End of Life plus your three, you'll be fine. Good luck!!!!!!

Well i got the bad news like i thought i did. I did not get in so here goes another 2nd time around with the nursing
program. So I will reapply for 2011 and retake the hesi, finish the end of life issues class, and get my three points. I will not give up. Wish me luck next time.

WooHoo!!!
Just received my acceptance to Brookhaven Spring 2010!! Anyone else? This was my second time to apply after 2 years of prereqs.....What a relief!!

Apply to some other nursing programs to get on their alternate list. Emphasize your willingness to start on short notice. it worked for me..
