BIO 60 at LBCC

I am in need of advice/information about where to take the equivalent of BIO 60 @ Long Beach City College, CA. at another school. I was given the 'heads-up' warning about the instructor that teaches it. Is there a instructor/school that has the same class that is close to Long Beach? I only have that class left and have a 3.5 GPA and don't want it to go down.... Since the wait list for the RN program is sooooooo long, the best thing for me is to go into the LVN program and then into the bridge LPN--->RN program.
Help!!!! any info would be appreciated..... An online bio class would even be better

If you are trying to get into a specific LVN program it would be the best to ask a program administrator/counselor which courses are offered at other schools that would be accepted in place of Bio 60. I see this is a Human Biology course (as listed in the catalog). Check out other JCs in the area and see if they offer a similar course, its fairly easy to search via the web.

IMO, don't waste your time in an LVN program. you're at LBCC? Don't just apply to one school. Apply to LBCC, Cypress, Santa Ana, Goldenwest, Saddleback, Rancho Santiago, CSULB BSN, CSU Fullterton ELM. If you have money or willing to take out loans, Mount Saint Mary's, Loma Linda.

GWC has a lottery admission. almost all my classmates got in on their FIRST application.

If you're done with pre-reqs and still not in a program, don't stop there, finish all required courses require for the degree. Taking those courses concurrently with a nursing class is really tough.

I would recommend you complete the basic Anat 1 course, and not the BIO 60. From what i understand, this course is being phased out, and is only acceptable for the LVN program. This will not work for an LVN-RN program, as the requirement is the Anat 1, Physio 1, Biol 2 - General Micro.

Check their program admission policies for the LVN-RN and then make the decision. I agree with prior post - apply several places.
