i have a newborn son. im moving wherever and whenever. but i understand your situation too. my gpa is a 3.45 at baylor and at midwestern state. its a 3.39 and twu. and its wayy low at SFA because they average the grades of repeats..so yeahh..and at the adn program they did my cumulative gpa of all the classes ive ever taken plus average the repeats so i only had a 2.8 and they go on points..and i only had 8 points out of 13. so i got on an alternate list. i hope i get in. that would be great if we both got into baylor. we could study together possibly if things get difficult. are you gonna use a laptop. i am and i dont care if im the only one in there. im going to take notes by hand, then type them. and use notecards..etc. i have a website for greeeaatt planners. and i also have patient worksheets for clinicals and concept maps. i know we will use both of them so if you want them let me know. i have a bunch of stuff on my computer. when you were talkin to tina, what great feedback was she giving you. do you feel confident about getting in.

I'd like to feel confident but when I do I start to doubt again. I got my first email from Tina at the end of January saying she had recieved my packet and she will contact me soon with a degree plan. Last month she sent me another email saying I was missing some classes but that was okay that I could take them in the summer but that she needed me to call or email her to let her know if I could complete those classes before fall semester starts and I told her yes. Then I called her and asked if my Net and graded were competitive enough to be considered and she told me yes So I don't know, I feel like if I didnt get in, why would she care if I finish those classes or not. But ya never know. This is my first time applying so I dont have any expectations. I hope we both get in as well. Of course we can study together. My boyfriend told me that you will become really close with the other students because we're starting and ending together, so lots of study groups. WOW, you have a newborn. Thats wonderful, I hope he is nice to mommy and lets her study. My daughters 10 so we both sit and do homework together. Thats real crappy that they used you repeat classes. I'm repeat class queen, but Baylor only looks at last time taken.

yess. i know baylor only looks at last taken and luckily mine are all higher. i applied with NO c's so im really proud of myself. i think you got in, because she asked you if you could complete those courses before fall, so basically what im thinking is that she is like okay shes in, but can she finish these classes and if not..we'll move on. because your gpa is stellar. my 2 month will let me study. i was quite a lazy lady when i was pregnant..so i got a lazy baby lol. i mean he is active and he plays and cries..but he mostly sleeps lol. hes sleep now.. he slept through church today until he got hungry. he only cries when hes wet/dirty or hungry. other than that he will just sit there if hes not sleeping. do you ever go on the nursing website and click on current students and read the info. i use to when the spring applicants got accepted because they posted info for them. like the books, the uniform numbers and styles. the patches.. everything. i would just readdd and reaaaad. but now it doesnt say anything accept welcome to nursing..blah blah because its a new semester coming. but the books and stuff is still there. i already have one of the books. for pathophysiology because i took that at SFA but it doesnt transfer because they combine patho and pharm together in one class, but im buying the book bundle if i get accepted, and the SAME book is in there. so ill have to sell one of the copies. do you know what stethoscope you want.

Yes, I look at the nursing site all the time. I freaked when they updated it. I was like Yea!!!!!! the letters are coming. That's one thing that ticks me off. I have taken sososososossooo many Nursing classes for different schools and none of them count. Ive taken dosages and calulation, medical spanish, nursing pharmacalogy, Nursing patho, end of life issues. AND NONE COUNT! But in the end, it will make it easier in nursing school i guess. I have 2 C's but OH WELL i'm not retaking anymore classes. As long as its not a science class, i dont care. I'm so excited. We better get something this week. Its been 3 weeks since she sent that email. I finally told my post lady what I was waiting for so now she makes sure she's on time and looks through my stack, its so funny. She thought I was crazy waiting every day since March 1st by the mailbox. lololol. I haven't been to work in a month and I cant concentrate in class. It's like whether Im in or not I just need to know, so I can start to function again, like a normal person.

you have two c's and have a 3.7 laddyyy thats greattttt. i have two B's in my sciences maybe thats where it hurt me. and i wouldnt even worry about it. i hope you get in..and we can study and i can complain that i dont understand anything..and you can calm me down. thats how i get..lol. is there a reason why you didnt apply to any of the DCCCD nursing programs. do you think we will get the letters tomorrow..or what. but she would have had to mail them friday..but does it say anything about your status on the computer? have you heard even some kind of number about how many they accept? what area do you stay in.

Well, I got all B's in all my science classes and all A's on everything else EXCEPT Govt 1 and religion. Shoot me now!!!! hahaha. I am a speed reader, and I love to read, thats what saves me in school. In class, i'm in lalaland. I'll read my textbooks cover to cover. BUT, if its boring I wont retain anything. Plus, being in the medical field for so long helps too. I hope we get letters soon. Let me know ASAP and I'll let you know as well, whatever the outcome. My status is still the same on the website, but she said that I'll get the letter before it says on the site. I didnt apply to any DCCCD programs because I have 119 hours and I feel like I would be going backwards I want a BSN not an associate, but if all else fails that my backup plan. I'm planning to get my master's as a CRNA. But you have to have at least a years experience in critial care as an RN. I dont know how many they let in, i'm guessing around 65. I live in the county, Red Oak.

ER or ICU!!!!! Everything else sucks! Sorry if I offended anybody. Sorry but med surg and ortho and oncolgy and my most hated place L&D SUCK!! lolol. I work at Baylor Med. Ctr.@ Irving. I plan on applying for my master's at TCU or Weslyan for CRNA. When I finish school I want to work at Parkland or downtown Baylor because they are both level 1 trauma centers.
