Congratulations Teech and Mariep!

I'm totally disappointed to know that Baptist would not accept scholars this semester. It is just not fair, I'm so looking forward to filling up the forms and anything they want me to complete. But now, it is all gone. I have to scamble how am I going to pay for the bill?

So, how many immunizations are really required for Varicella, and if you know a place where I can get them at a cheap price.

Prospective, can you PM me the list of must take/avoid professors...thanks

Thanks to all.

Hey! ...i just got my varicella shot today, but i only got one because it said that only one was required. I went to get it at one of those Take Care Clinics (its in one of the papers they sent in the envelope)...but i payed $136.00 dollars for it...its a rip off...for only one vaccine. But we need it, so what can we do :/. its probably the same price everywhere

Yesterday, I went to see my doctor and ask her about the MDC medical requirement. I told her that I will be needing several items and she said that my insurance would not cover it, so it will cost just for the Hepatitis alone about $480.00 and just only this, and nothing else. I told her to hold on, let me find if I could get it cheaper somewhere else. Right now, I have been calling doctor's office to see how much they charge. No Luck so far.
hey. It says in the papers that the Hepatitis vaccines are not required...so me personally im not going to pay that much at this point because there's alottt to pay for. Ive had Hep B shots before but i was like 9 years old and im 20 now..so i have no idea if they expired.

Hi. I got today the varicella titer, second MMR vaccine and first hepatitis dosis at the Occupational Medical Center in the NW. I think they have cheaper prices than those take care clinics. Varicella vaccines are only like $110, hepatitis $75 and MMR $70. I also got my drug screening done for only $35.

OH! And I spoke to the program director for the Baptist Scholars program yesterday (can you tell I am anxious ... and she said that NO SCHOLARS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT BAPTIST FOR THE FALL 09 program! OMG! She stated that they had no $$$... I was looking forward to applying for the program but now I am SUPER bummed. Does anyone know of any other scholarship programs that we may be able to apply for since our GPAs are above average?

Congrats! Teech2Nurse and others that got in.
A friend of mine is in the Accelerated program since last fall and she got her tuition, books, vaccines, physical etc paid for up to 10K.So keep all your receipts cause if you get this you may eligible for reimbursement. I attached 2 pdf files with the info. I did not provide the embedded link for it is not permitted per the Terms of Service.

According to her, this is a grant no need to pay it back. Please, anyone that finds out more detail on how this works feel free to post so others can benefit from your due diligence.

Also, those in the Accelerated and Part-Time Program will have Orientation b4 us Generic Full-Time. So if possible, please post after you attend or anything you may encounter b4 the rest of us.
