Hey guys, three more days before the school start. August 24th, I'm excited and nervous at the same time. Hopefully, this will be a good semester. I wish everyone a good day. Have fun before the school start. I heard that it will get busy really fast so we need this time to relax.

I have read tons of posts from prior years of former and present mdc rn students that were in our shoes not so long ago.

We have a little over two months b4 we start and our lives as we know them will not be the same. We have several hurdles left and more to come specially day of registration.

I took the liberty of bundling several posts into one for the sake of brevity. However, it's from the same helpful person.

I have heard that some things have changed, for example in that 'mad dash' to the computers everyone who registers after orientation at 3pm will have to register at 4pm for thats when you are allowed to start registration.

Also, i have compiled a list of recommended professors let me know if i should post them for all to see.

More important, i would love to compile a list of professors to avoid completely!
does miami dade accept rn students with broward residency. Does broward residency give you lower admission priority? Mari55

Only BC takes Broward residency into account. Actually they have a point system and you get 1 point for living in Broward.

As far as MDC it's only GPA based for now. I've heard they are trying to go back to the old days where you have to take the NET exam as well. They say that solely GPA has not been a good indicator for them.

Who knows when this will take in effect. So far the only thing that has changed is that MAC1105 is now needed instead just MAT1033.

Your very welcome! I'm actually taking it now since it was required when the semester started but somewhere down the line they decided to require mac1005 instead. : D I don't mind because it's going to raise my gpa and the course is interesting.
