Anyone starting RN at Miami Dade College Fall 2009?

I also wanted to make a note that even if you make all Cs in nursing school you can still get into grad school. They have a lesser pool of applicants and for most places all you need is your RN license to get iin (for example FIU). Most nursing school students are happy with a C because again the grades do not matter, and you can still continue your education even if you have Cs. This isn't even your regular grading scale. A C is not really a C.

i love c in nursing school because trust to get a c u got to study like for an A.

Silvio, so are you saying that there is no way to fully prepare for the program before hand, so we have to actually learn from the experience? From reading your quote, it seems like we should just be attentive in class and grasp the concept, and we should be fine. Everyone seems to think that C's are so customary, but I know a few people who have made most if not all A's. Silvio, you even said in another post that there were only like a couple of classes that slowed you down, otherwise you made straight A's in everything else the first semester right???

asimps13, You gave us advice to get use to making C's, from your experience, is that all that was possible for you to make, or do you feel you could have tried harder; if so, what could you have done differently?

Prospective, we've talked already through PM: I guess my advice didn't help! I see your final decision and of course studying in advance won't hurt at all, if anything it should only give you advantage over the other students! What ever is going to happen will happen, whether you start now or later. No one can predict what will happen in the future, and there is no time like the present. When we are blessed with an opportunity we should go for it! You would have done well, and you still will. With that said hope all is well, I will keep you posted!

am not saying to get use to C.In nursing school C stands for continuation.My point is easy to understant intructors design their test to trick you and to make you fail.Now your point is to study and pass their exam if you get and 84.99 is a c.Get me now answer me this question this is an actual question from class this is how instructors make thier test to make you think ,trick you and make you fail

answer is right.Thhis was an actual question from test 1 so you might wanna do something about this question.mm is tricky lol but thats an easy question they are couple question that you gonna read it 6 times u still cant find the answer that why i said i loves C.And thats the only thing that matters in nursing school C.I think the other girl has not reply yet i think she still finding the answer lol

Can anyone tell me rather or not we are supposed to wear our uniforms on the first day of class, and which books or supplies to take. Hope I don't sound dumb, but I just don't know!

uniform
you dont have to wear your uniform the first day of class.
you wear uniform only in fundamentals of nursing clinicals.
and you use a lab coat in health assesment and fundamentals of nursing skills lab

fundamentals of nursing- make sure to take the corresponding powerpoint printout and fundamentals of nursing textbook
health assesment-health assement book
intro to nursing math and pharmacology-book not need information about the test will be provided in class but in case you wanna take it medical dosage calculations
fundamentals of nursing skills lab- no book needed you just observe the teacher and then you practice the skill
fundamentals of nursing clinicals- yo wear you wear miami dade uniform and use a nursing diagnosis book whichever you wanna use.
also carry you six senses. always remember that in nursing school you dont know nothing and u r on your own the only friend is your book
