Anyone get into the Golden West nursing program for fall 2009

.. i got the same letter from them, last march though...i took the test already ...passed it.. and at that very same day, they tell you whether you're officially in .. goodluck!!!! =)..

I received my rejection letter from GWC over the weekend. I was accepted into Saddleback's program for Fall 2009. I wasn't terribly disappointed that I didn't get into GWC, obviously.

Good luck on the TEAS test! I ordered the study guide off of the TEAS website and took one practice test and I scored a 82% or something like that.

Make sure you know your general science stuff...like rocks, plates of the earth...and all of that other stuff that we learned in elementary/middle school. There were 4-5 questions on the test and I was just like "What are they talking about!?!?"

I received this same letter last thursday so I guess we'll be taking the TEAS together!!!!!

dcalgrl, you said you received the teas test letter back in March? Is this for fall start? when did you take the teas? sorry lots of questions, im wondering when they started their class selection.

So did you get in? How many people took the test with you? Do you know what the passing grade is?

Is it not normal if I still haven't got anything letter from GWC yet? It's the 27th already... so annoying...

Did you call them already to let them know you're going on the 8th? I was wondering if you got anymore info than I did. What I want to know is how many people they mailed that letter to, if it was just the ones they are accepting or if they are planning on determining whose in from the test scores (which means there's tons of pressure to score really, really good, not just pass with a 67%). Any info is greatly appreciated!!!

I have called over there a few times We're all in the same boat here, i guess. I confirmed that i will be taking the teas on june 8th and the first lady there said there were 41 people taking the test that day (i don't know if there are other scheduled dates) I asked if that meant I was accepted since i was scheduled for the teas and she told me that can't be determined until the scores come in from the teas. (vague huh?) The second lady i spoke to, i made up a dumb excuse to call again, she said the same thing that it couldn't be determined until the scores come in and i asked her if i would be taking the teas had i been an alternate and she said "not yet". I don't know what this all means but i do know that my friend, who applied as well, received an alternate letter the day before i received my teas test letter. I also asked the first lady whom i spoke to if my letter maybe got lost in the mail or something and she said "not everyone gets the same letters"
You're probably in the same state as i have been for a week now, not knowing if we are accepted or what, but the way i see it, if we pass this test we are at worst case scenario, alternates right? They wouldn't pay for us to pay the teas test otherwise right?
