Anybody still waiting?

  1. I turned in my application for nursing school last October and i know it is not supposed to come until early March, but I am getting anxious, is anyone patiently (or not so patiently) waiting for acceptance (or rejection-god forbid)?

yeah, I am. When I spoke with the secretary in the nursing department, they said that we wouldn't find out until mid-march or early-april. The letter I expect will tell me when I would be starting, not if I'll be starting. It can be this fall or next spring. Last year they even had a pilot program in which they started in the summer and went straight around the calendar for four semesters. That might also be a possibility. I've finished all of my prereqs with a high GPA, so I've little doubt about my acceptance, I just wish I would get the letter instead of having to wait to "start" my life.

I could not imagine waiting 6-months to hear! I am going nuts with only 6-weeks! My app went in on January 10th and they'll let us know by the end of February.

I feel your anxiousness...I am hoping for Spring admission and if I don't get in, I'll most likely have to wait until NEXT spring or Fall '06 to start.

Good luck and let us know if you get in!

I'm waiting also. I'm done with all my pre-reqs, just taking filler classes now. I originally took the test for the LPN program (they start new classes spring and fall), but decided I would go for the ADN program. Hey-why not! Well, I hope they don't catch on that I'm waiting for both programs. They send the letters out the first of March. I absolutely cannot wait. I'm going nuts. I'm panicking-what if I don't get accepted for the RN program? And that ruined my chance of going to the LPN program? Should I have just been happy going for LPN? Oh, I'm rambling. I know your pain. Also waiting. I spoke to the the lady at admissions and she told me not to worry. She said that I have done everything I was supposed to and to sit back and relax. They will be getting the acceptance/rejection letters out as soon as they possibly can. Although I may need to turn down my slot if offered one, I would really like to hold an acceptance letter in my hands.

    Hello there,

My application deadline is March 1st. I will be sending in the complete packet before then but, none will be considered until after March 1st. According to the schedule we will not know until April sometime about callbacks for interviews and the final will be around May.

    Still, anxious all the same.

    Hello Kris,
I wasn't worried until I went to the information session for my school. Their first group started this very January and will go straight through for 15 months until RN graduation then start the graduate portion.

Because of my work experience and my gre numbers and my pre-reqs being complete at a high gpa I thought that I might have this in the bag. Turns out that there are almost 300 people applying for only 40 slots. Phewie.

The early application deadline was March first but that has been changed to the final, (glad that I went to the information session to find out) and we know the timeline for call backs is mid April and the final decisions should be May 15th.

Well, at least it is a quick timeline!

Good luck to all of us~
