Re: Anatomy and Chem this Fall...who else?
I am going to be taking API and Organic/Biochem in the Fall. I have taken both courses before (with an B and a C in them respectively). The courses are very interesting and there is no cutting corners with the material. This is not like Gen Bio.... you might be able to BS your way through a test...not so for these courses. Besides if you don't understand the human body and how it works normally how can you understand pathophysiology (the study of abnormal activities in the body). Samething when it goes to biochem..... important stuff is learnt.
As prenursing students we just tend to say well we are just trying to get into a program but AP and the Orgo/Biochem are really the most important sciences in the the program. Besides it isbest to get good study habits.....we are gonna need it becasue it is notlikethe course work is gonna get easier becasue after this is CLINICALS....
If possible try tojust go through certain topics that are introduced in AP(use the textbook forthose who bought the book already).
Go through:
1) the different directional planes and cavities of the human body
2) just read about the intergumentary system
I know alot of people from different schools who took AP and they were blindsided by the sheer anount of reading for the first test. It is nice to be ahead of the curve.
Good luck.
