What is a good A&P software for your computer becuase at my school they dont have a lab at all for the medical assistant program im going through.
I took an AP course like that last semester it was really great and got me familiar enough with terms to help me with AP 101. I don't know of any software but I used all the sites posted on here there is a whole thread I think on AP websites and this one has a few listed too.

I am happy we got back our practical from last week the histology it was worth 115 pts I got 123 there were 123 questions but only 115 was what it was worth so I got some extra points yay! We got back our last 3 quizes and tests too and I got 100s on all of them.

Now the real work is beginning though we have bone practical 11/4 and Cat disection starts tomorrow along with the muscles Tons and Tons of stuff to do this next month.

    Those are great scores!

Bones weren't too bad. You'll do great

I hope we get our practical grades back soon, but he's super slow at grading

Wow, sounds like you guys got it easy. I just had a test over the bones and muscles of the limbs. We had to study all the bones and various points on them, muscles and the origins, insertions and actions, and all the parts of all the joints in the arms and legs. That's just one test. The next one is the axial bones and muscles. I wish he would just do bones then muscles, but where would the fun be in that. Good luck to all. Remember, get the coloring book and The tom cat shakes loose to prowl (carpals).

ahh I am working on my bones now I printed out pictures and made flash cards with them with the bones we have to know, there are so many! I just finished the skull took me 2 hours I think that is the hardes though with all the little bones inside and out and the ethmoid and sphenoid.

I am glad our teacher is really good about getting grades out to us I hate waiting. I have another exam tomorrow so I better go see if I know anything.

I don't know if its any easier one way or another. We have tests thru lecture but the bones we are doing now is our practical which is over lapping with our Muscles we will have practicals on our Cat disection and have to name the muscles on the Cadaver with in the next few weeks she just handed out all of our muscle stuff on top of our tests quizes and essays. Last week we took chapter 3/4 test, tomorrow 6/7 exam and next week chapter 11 we didnt' skip any chapters I took 5,8,9 on my own she doesn't go over it you have to do the reading and get tested when you have time before a ertain date, I still have to take chapter 10 so much stuff to do, but I do love it so it really isn't like doing work.

I wouldn't call it easy. We had to know all the points and foramen and processes, etc. as well. He just chose to put a femur question on the test! I was all ready to go in that practical to identify the condyles of the long bones and the trochlear notch and the radial tuberosity...oh well. I'm still glad I memorized it and I now know it!

We had our first lab test (there are only two) on Saturday. Phew. I am so glad to have that behind me. There had been such a HUGE buildup to it..I have been studying like crazy because the amount of material potentially testable was immense.
    Histology
    Cell structures and functions
Epidermis and Dermal model - parts and functions
    All the Bones
    All the bone markings
    All the foramens and such
    Torso model of the organs
    Fetal Pig organs

Just a few things, huh? And...it is set up by the school and not the teacher. Again, there was this huge build up to it. I have basically dropped everything the past two weeks to study for it. I have neglected to much to study for this beast.

Went in and took it ....I think I *might" have missed 3 ...I know I missed one slide with two questions on it...can't think of what else, but I usually miss a stupid question here and there that I know the answer to and just make a dumb mistake on interpretation. Woohoo!!
So glad to have that over with!!

Too bad I cannot afford to have Merry Maids come in for the day to do the house ...they would be appalled.

ok so i had test #2 today in lecture. I am nervous as He$$. I really hate the muscles. However I have a quiz next week on Muscles in lab. Can someone give me some advice on learning Orgin, Insertion, and Action for all the muscles. It is overwhelming. Any help would be awesome. Also does anyone know any good muscle websites to quiz myself on?

Yay, I got a 93 on my practical!! Whoo hoo. Now we're doing muscles. These are kind of tricky. It's hard to tell on the lab models where the massater is and the buccinator.

Cathie that is great Congratulations, sure feels good doesn't it?!

You are so lucky to be able to bring the bones home I wish we could do that! We have to make our own extra time to come to the lab to view the bones.
