Well, my first test is over. If it had only been the multiple choice and short answer part, I think I would have been fine. I wasn't quite prepared for the essays though. I think I should find out how I did on Wednesday.

That would be hard. The only time we are given essay tests is if we miss one of the regular ones.
I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you. Maybe you didnt do as bad as you are afraid of. Try to think positive.

I am also taking A&P II as an accelerated course. 8 weeks online. Double the fun every week! I appreciate all the links that are posted here, hopefully they will smooth things out a little.

I am so sorry that you have to deal with essay questions....I absolutely HATE essays. Good luck and I am sure you did well.

Now that would be cool. I wish so bad we got to do something like that. We just look at slides and answer questions. B O R I N G. We arent having lab Wednesday, and he said we would use lab time sometimes for class lecture. I can deal with that. I like the class, and that will help us to cover more material. I just dont like lab.
I did go and talk to my nursing advisor today and she figured my total g.p.a and it is 3.7. She told me it looks like everything is in order, but I know, that doesnt mean I will get in.:uhoh21:
That's a great GPA...you will get in. Mine is in that neighborhood also and if I get all A's in the remaining classes it may even go up some.
Hang in there you are definitely competitive.

We also started the heart yesterday in lab and the Immune System in lecture.
It is a lot of stuff to remember though.

We just started blood. We had our first test in lecture last week. Hopefully we will find out our grades on Monday. They weren't graded when we went to class on Wednesday.

It is hard to tell the difference between some of the different WBCs under the microscope. Especially on a test, when we cannot compare them to other cell types! I am not excited about the microscope part of the lab tests.

Yes, blood is much more complicated than I ever dreamed. Isnt it so interesting though? I just love it.

Neither am I and I am concerned about the very same aspect. We did a bloodsmear of our own blood. Luckily the stains turned out ok and I found ONE basophil among my WBC...at least I now know what a real one looks like. What concernes me even more is the blood typing thing and the dreaded Rh factor stuff....we will have our first lab test one week from Monday...We wil also need to identify all the different parts of the heart, know how the blood flows thougy it and identify the coronary arteries. It's a whole bunch of stuff and my eyes are spinning
Heads will roll in that class:roll
