Labs are my biggest complaint with this class. I paid for lab fees when I registered and all we do in "lab" is fill in paper labs. :angryfire We havent dissected anything (not that Im complaining). We dont even use models to study for practicals; we study out of our book. At first I was cool with it, but the more I thought about I want a new professor

I can relate. We have spent 3 nights "filling in the blanks". At least last night we got to rummage around previously disected cats.

It makes for a really boring lab, but there is a benefit I have come to. You get the labeling part done in class, therefore you can study study study when you get home.

    I passed my midterm!!!! :hatparty:

I didn't do as good as I thought, I got a 75, but with this online course it's all self-teaching and a lot of people end up failing it so a 75 is actually pretty good. I'll probably pull a B out of the class, which this morning I was gonna be happy just to pass with a C. Insane....2 more months to go

Congrats! Good luck with the last half of your class.

Who's a sheep's heart pro? I made a powerpoint quiz, but really need someone to double check it before I start studying it.

    Thanks in advance.

We actually did use our own blood for our typing labs, we did them in both 1&2. It always turns into this huge ordeal for me, because I'm AB-. The instructors ALWAYS insist that I did something wrong, so they end up resticking me (at least once) and doing the test again..Craziness..

Critical Thinking questions at the end of each chapter....

We have to do CT questions, but I've never had to do them before. I am using Marieb, 6th edition.

Has anyone found that the answers are straight from the Homeostatic Imbalance sections? Am I doing this wrong, or is answering these just that easy??????

I took the final today for my online lecture class. It was NOT what I had expected. We had 2 midterms for this class, each cumulative from the beginning of the course. A good number of the midterm questions were questions taken right from the individual chapter quizzes. Naturally, I figured the final would be similar to the midterms. I studied all of the chapter quizzes and both midterm tests plus the practice quizzes from the publisher. Well, the final was 100 original questions that I had never seen before. I did NOT ace this test. I only need a 79 to get an A in the class, but I honestly don't know if I did it. It could go either way. I really don't know how I would have studied differently anyway, so I'll be okay with whatever I get. I feel sorry for the others in my class. At least I had high grades going into the final. There are alot of people that have just been scraping by.

I still need to finish up a lab tomorrow and take the last practical.

They are THAT easy. Wait until you get to respiratory and your CT question basically asks you why dudes 1 lung collapsed ( from stab wound)and the other didn't ...uh hello? Yeah., that easy.

I'm sure you did fine, and hopefully you'll keep that A.
