by dannygurl84 May 23, '12Right now I'm 28 and when I finish I will be 31. I just feel like I should of been started my career. I'm so tired of beating myself up. I started back in "04" but I just didn't finish. I'm doing really good and im more focused now since I'm older. Any advice out there?

In my ADN program I went to school with many nurses much older than you. I was 26 when I got my ADN, and just finished my BSN at 29. You have lots of good working years left!

You can either be 31 and starting a career you really enjoy, or you can be 31 and doing something else. The only person who can tell you you're too old is yourself.Right now I'm 28 and when I finish I will be 31. I just feel like I should of been started my career. I'm so tired of beating myself up. - May 23, '12 by AnonRNC31 is NOT too old. I was a "mature" student in my ADN program - graduated when I was 29. In my BSN program in my early 40's. I was definately a better student at 29 than I was at 19. Also at 40, compared to 29. GO FOR IT!Bortaz, RN likes this.
