2014 SELU Accelerated Nursing Program

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hey guys,

I applied to the accelerated program a few weeks ago and am ready to know whether I was accepted or not!! My job is NOT cutting it, so I am praying I have a high enough GPA to get in. My pre-req GPA was a 3.6 not including the History, Communication, and Library science grades that they don't count. Does anybody know anything about the program? Any advice? Things I should do in advance? Is my GPA good enough to get in? I had a BS in biology prior to this so of course they counted all of my chemistry courses and 3/4 were B's! The C in animal physiology didn't help much either though, lol, but at that point I was just ready to graduate. Any 2014 applicants got their acceptance letter yet? Last time I called she told me not to call back until March  but I need to know NOW if I'm going to be at this job for much longer. My impatience is here! Feel free to leave comments, opinions, any helpful info for a new nursing student.....:shy:

Just got the official email a few days ago and..... I GOT IN! YAY! I start on May 20th.... I still need to find some kind of part time job though... :( Preferably one that doesn't mind me studying. I was thinking about getting an online- at home type job, but I just can't find one! Any help?

Thanks!

Hi! Just curious if you finished the accelerated program? Did you like it? I'm starting this May and trying to see what I can expect if that's possible.

I actually did finish it! I liked it and am really glad that I went this route instead of the traditional route! I am actually now looking into completing their MSN-education degree soon so *fingers crossed!* Good luck! @KristinSheree

Hey can you tell me more about the accelerated program? I am starting this Summer. Was is really hard? What was the worse class? How are the clinicals?
