"No, I don't mind waiting another MONTH!

Well, my ticker has now been reluctantly changed. The countdown was 12 more days to find out if I made it, but the office let me know yesterday, when I was finalizing my file for application, that we won't hear until..."Hopefully the 1st week in DECEMBER"

aaaaaaarrrrrrrrgggggggg!!!

I dont think I can take this for another month +.

It sure doesn't give us a lot of time to get things done to start school. Oh well. What am I going to do about it??? Absolutely nothing! Ya, like I would complain. I did do a little pouty lip though. Honestly though, I don't think it helped :roll .

She said that they had to form the committee and the files are looked at about 4 different times by 3 different groups. I told her I would like to be on the committee. Darn, she laughed.

Well, I need to get back to my fingernails. I see some new white that I can chew.

We are in almost the exact same situation. I applied the first week of Sept. Usually they take 2 weeks to mail out the letter, but much to my luck  .........they have fewer spots this semester and doubled the applicants than usual *sigh*

It's almost Nov. and they are telling us to wait til the 15th for a final decision. I have been like a madwoman harassing my mailman and stressing forever. I think that by the time the letter does come in (whether good or bad news) I am going to care less. :rotfl:

I am in the same situation as you two. We were supposed to be contacted by the last day of the month but I was told recently that there was a processing delay. The letters may not be mailed until sometime in November. Funny how we have to apply so early yet they can take as long as needed to let us know if we're in. What's a few more weeks?!!

Good Luck to all of you. I know how stressful "the wait" is. I applied in Feb and had to wait until March. I kept telling my husband, if it comes certified, I got in. If it comes in the mailbox, I need to rethink my career plan. In any case, I sat in my computer room every day and watched for the mailman to come. I turned 25 on May 28. I went to lunch with my mother and came home to collect on my well deserved B-Day presents. My husband showed me the chandelier he installed and some other household stuff. (I know those gifts sound lame, but that's what I wanted.) And he said, "Babe, there's one more gift. Do you want it know or later. " I had no idea whatsoever. I said sure I'll take it now. And on top of the fridge was my manilla envelope with the green certified mail sticker. I wish he would of video taped my reaction. I jumped clear to the ceiling and starting crying. I jumped into his arms and acted like a five year old on Christmas morning. Needless, to say, it was the best birthday present he could of given me. I am finishing my first semester now and it was nothing like I expected. I have learned so much and slept so little. Good luck to all of you, I hope you get to enjoy your moment of acceptance like I did.

I feel your pain!

I applied back in July and we were orginally told we would know by Nov 15th and now they are saying Dec 3rd!

I just WANT TO KNOW!

Specializes in NICU/L&D, Hospice.

I think we need to form a support group!! hahaha Any ideas on what we should call it???

I guess I would rather have them triple checking all the numbers, then end up with the results of that other poster that had his GPA miscalculated and now has to wait for an open seat.

At least we have the holidays to keep us busy!

Well, as long as I get in for Spring, I'll still be graduating at the same time, no matter when I am notified. (Ya, sure Lisa, just keep fooling yourself into feeling better)
